This groundbreaking new Web series stars Monica Calhoun (bio) , Richard Roundtree (bio), Billy Dee Williams (bio), Valery Ortiz (bio), Janice Lynde (bio), Nieko Mann (bio), and Leon (bio) in the weekly video series. Their stories inspire us have more compassion in our own lives and those of others. At the center of our show is OCEAN, played by Monica Calhoun, a 27 year old black woman from Chicago. Ocean is quick-witted and motivated to do more with her life than any of her six siblings. Her biggest fear is repeating their mistakes- in and out of jail or still living in her mother's run-down house, settling for a life of ne'er-do-well and waiting for someone to rescue them. LUPE, 25, is a beautiful Latina mother of two, played by Valery Ortiz. Unlike Ocean, Lupe refuses to accept responsibility for much of anything, preferring to spend her time partying and complaining about being broke. PEGGY, played by Janice Lynde, a 50-year-old white suburban housewife, moves from the suburbs with her grandson into the same building as Ocean, and on the same day.
