Nefertiti, A Real Single Mom
Central to Nefertiti’s story is the relationship with her mom who was also a single mom and raised three children at a time when there might not have been as much help available as there is today. At the time of the filming of this project, Nefertiti was unemployed and a victim of the real estate market collapse. But she maintains her optimism, counts her blessings and dreams of a better day for herself and her daughter. “Focus on the relationship you have with your child. More than material things, they need your quality time, your love and your wisdom.”

A moving story and so much a sign of the times..from the real estate market collaspe to the job/economic situation in the US and the social issue(s) of being a single parent...this episode/series touched on the some of the issues of today's women.
In addition, It is always important to remain positive, back up with the action to reinforce the CHANGE needed in a person's life. I have recommended this series to all my Facebook friends, etc.

Being a single "disabled" mother I guess in a sense some would say that I am blessed for I didn't have to go out and find a job to take care of my son I already had an income. I have to say that I love being a single mother for like she said I don't know what its like "not to" be a single mother. I have never been married and his father is always in prison so its always just been him and I... I dont think I would change my life for it has made me into be a stronger woman and help keep myself on the right path... If not for my son the life I was in I dont' know where I would be. I think having my son put my life on track and prevented me from doing the "wrong" things to find the love and happiness I didn't feel I was getting...

I wouldn't ever say that I love being a single mom....it's just too much damn work for one individual to fill the rolls of both mom and dad

Nefertiti rocks! She has such a level head and knows how to stay focused on what really matters in life! She's a true role model for single moms. And look at how great she looks!
